Opioid Response and Outreach Efforts
Henrico County Health District is working to provide services and resources to individuals and communities impacted by the opioid epidemic. Naloxone is a medication used to reverse an opioid overdose, and can save the life of a loved one or community member. We have partnered with other county agencies and community organizations to provide the naloxone to individuals for free throughout the county, as well as training on its administration. Please see our calendar below for training and dispensing. If you are interested in arranging a community training and dispensing, please the Opioid Coordinator (
Julie.Karr@vdh.virginia.gov).
Henrico has also partnered to support several online platforms providing information ranging from education and prevention to treatment and recovery options locally and regionally.
