Plant Native! Festival

Are you an avid environmentalist? Do you care about the benefits of native plants? Are you a gardener? Do you like flowers?

Mark your calendar for an event right up your alley! The Plant Native! Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 21 at Crump Park.

Stop by the vendor fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for a celebration of native plants and all the benefits and beauty they provide. The fun-filled event promises plenty of opportunities to learn about the wonders of native flora and what it can do for you, our wildlife and our environment.

Make your way to the big tent for a series of speakers who are certain to be educational and enjoyable! If you’ve been inspired to create a native plant garden of your own, swing by from 10:30-11 a.m. to hear from Keep Henrico Beautiful’s own Bland Goddin on how to get started.

If trees are more your thing, stick around until 11:15 a.m. for the Native Tree Panel; October is Celebrate Virginia Native Trees Month!
