Westwood Multimodal Design Guidelines

Project Status: Study

Estimated Cost: $63,000

Magisterial District:   Brookland

Project Description:

The purpose of this transportation analysis is to evaluate alternatives and formulate design standards to address multi-modal connectivity within the Westwood Area as it transitions from industrial to urban mixed use. The County wishes to develop a multi-modal design guide to clearly inform the future development of pedestrian, vehicular, and transit connectivity within the Westwood Area, building upon the guidance outlined in the Westwood Small Area Plan, adopted by Henrico Board of Supervisors on December 11, 2018.

The Multi-modal Design Guide shall include illustrative cross-sections that detail the alternatives for multimodal facilities along the identified corridor categories. The analysis will provide Henrico County with a document to inform and guide the development of connectivity within the Westwood Area.
