Monument Ave Sidewalk

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be constructed Monument Avenue from Willow Lawn to Treboy Avenue, including: 

• ​​Approximately 2,200 linear feet of new sidewalk along the southern side of Monument Avenue from Bremo Road to Treboy Avenue.
• ​Approximately 3,800 linear feet of new shared use-path along the northern side of Monument Avenue from Willow Lawn to Treboy Avenue. 
• ​Associated ADA ramps. 
• ​Upgrades to transit stop within project limits. 
• ​Pedestrian signals and crossings.​ 

Estimated Schedule: (Month Year) 

• Design is anticipated to begin ​December 2022​. 
• Right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin ​January 2024​.
• Utility relocation is anticipated to begin ​June 2024​.
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin ​October 2024​. 
• Construction is anticipated to begin ​December 2024​.
