Tuckahoe meeting May 26 to highlight Virginia Freedom of Information Act

Henrico County Board of Supervisors Chairman and Tuckahoe District Supervisor Patricia S. O’Bannon will host a Tuckahoe Town Meeting on Thursday, May 26 to discuss the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, which ensures that residents have ready access to public records and meetings.

O’Bannon will be joined by Megan Rhyne, executive director of the Virginia Coalition for Open Government, and Cari Tretina, Henrico’s chief of staff. In addition to explaining ways to request Henrico records, Tretina will discuss opportunities for county internships.

The meeting will be held at the Tuckahoe Area Library, 1901 Starling Drive, with sessions at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Residents may participate virtually via WebEx using links for the 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. sessions. Residents also may participate by phone by calling 1-415-655-0002 and entering the access code 2313 423 4894 for the 1 p.m. session and 2312 540 0023 for the 6:30 p.m. session.
