Ridge Road Safety and Mobility Improvements

The County of Henrico will be constructing accommodations to increase pedestrian access and connectivity. The following improvements will be considered, including: 

• Reviewing traffic data (volume, speeds), crash data, and identifying potential safety improvements for the corridor –including modifications to the existing roadway configuration (road diet, etc.) and spot improvements to enhance intersection and pedestrian safety. 
• Designing bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along Ridge Road from Greene Ridge Road to N. Ridge Road/Forest Avenue.

• Right-0f-way is not anticipated.
• Utility relocation is not anticipated.
• Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin 2nd Quarter, 2024.
• Construction is anticipated to begin 2nd Quarter, 2024.
