Gaylord Road Drainage Improvements

Magisterial District: Three Chopt

The County of Henrico will be addressing erosion and drainage issues within an existing ditch along the rear of the properties along Gaylord Road and Freestone Ave from Girard Ave to Parma Road. The following three alternatives are being considered:

Replacing the ditch with a storm sewer system the entire length of the ditch.
Grading and stabilizing with a new ditch.
A combination of new ditch and storm sewer system.

Estimated Schedule:

Design is anticipated to begin May 2024.
Easement acquisition is anticipated to begin November 2024.
Advertisement for construction is anticipated to begin March 2025.
Construction is anticipated to begin May 2025.

Progress to Date

A Public Information Meeting is being held on 5/7/2024, at the Tuckahoe Library from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
