The Henrico County Department of Finance’s Purchasing Division will hold a free event Wednesday, Oct. 18 to give general contractors, trade partners, suppliers and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn about the county’s procurement process and upcoming commercial construction projects.
The Construction Meet & Greet will be held from 8:15 a.m. to noon at The Springs Recreation Center, 302 Lee Ave.
Presenters will include representatives of Purchasing, Henrico County Public Schools and the Division of Fire as well as the departments of Planning, Building Construction and Inspections, Public Works and Public Utilities.
A light breakfast will be provided. The program will begin at 8:45 a.m. with remarks from county officials. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and share business cards.
Representatives of small, women-owned, minority-owned and veteran-owned businesses as well as Henrico-based vendors and employment service organizations are encouraged to attend.
Online registration is required by Thursday, Oct. 12.
Among its business opportunities, Henrico is preparing construction projects that will be funded through a nearly $511.4 million bond referendum approved by county voters in 2022.
