Federal, state agencies and Henrico to hold Aug. 23 meeting in Varina to discuss concerns about ethylene oxide, per- and polyfluoralkyl substances

WHAT: An open-house-style meeting will be held to address community concerns about ethylene oxide (EtO) and per- and polyfluoralkyl substances (PFAS) in eastern Henrico County.

WHO: The meeting will include representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Virginia Department of Health, federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry and Henrico County. Officials will be available to discuss actions being taken, answer questions and receive comments and concerns about the possible health risks associated with EtO and PFAS.
