Absentee voting for June 11 primary elections starts April 26

Absentee voting for the June 11 primary elections in Virginia will begin Friday, April 26.

Qualified voters in Henrico County may vote absentee in the Office of Voter Registration and Elections at the Henrico County Government Center, 4301 E. Parham Road, and the Eastern Government Center, 3820 Nine Mile Road. The offices are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Voters may request a ballot to vote absentee by mail by calling (804) 501-4347 or by sending an email to [email protected]. The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is June 4.

Henrico has six ballots – four Democratic and two Republican – for the primary elections. To review the ballots and find the precincts where primary elections will be held, go to henrico.us/registrar/programs/sampleballots. The primary elections will determine Democratic candidates for the 12th District seat in the Virginia State Senate, Henrico sheriff and Fairfield District supervisor as well as Republican candidates for the 68th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates and Three Chopt District supervisor. The winners of the primary elections will be on the ballot for the general election on Nov. 5.
