- Bagged leaf collection

Our operations are governed locally by Chapter 17 of the County Ordinance and regulated by the Commonwealth through the Virginia Code 9 VAC 20-81-00.
Temporary Changes due to COVID-19
Public-use areas and drop-off recycling centers are open daily from 7:30 AM to 7 PM and are only accepting household garbage and recycling (which includes garbage, putrescible waste, food scraps, metal, wood, trash, paper, construction waste, vegetation, and lawn clippings). Due to limited storage in our vegetative waste and metal recycling areas, residents may be asked to place these items in the household garbage dumpsters. Due to State Orders, beginning Friday, April 3, 2020, only 10 vehicles will be allowed into both public use areas at one time. Please be patient and expect delays as we continue to adjust our services to deal with this pandemic.
Curbside Refuse and Recycling programs are operating on a normal schedule. The following Public Use Area programs have been suspended: “too good to waste” and the re-sale program (appliances, lawnmowers, etc.). Customers are advised to practice personal hygiene measures recommended by the CDC when visiting our Public Use Areas and/or drop-off recycling centers. New orders for bulky waste pickup are suspended until further notice.
