Payment Arrangement/Disconnects

What if I need more time to pay my bill, can I get an extension?
Contact the DPU Customer Service Call Center at 804-501-4275.   Hours of operation are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, except for County Holidays.  A representative will be available to help you with your request.   We encourage customers to have their most recent bill available when they call and to have determined based on your budget what payment arrangements you are requesting.

My water was turned off for disconnection.  Who do I need to contact?
Contact Customer Service at 804-501-4275 between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday except on County Holidays to obtain the balance needed for reconnection.  The County does not accept checks to reconnect service.

Where can I make a payment for reconnection of services?
Authorized payment locations are:

  • Western Government Center–4301 E Parham Rd.
  • Eastern Government Center–3820 Nine Mile Rd
  • Paymentus- 804-501-4275 option #1 to make a payment or henrico.us/services/Pay Utility Bill payment option # 4 ($2.89 convenience fee for each payment)
  • PayNearMe- Henrico.us/services/Pay Utility Bill payment option# 6 ($1.49 convenience fee for each payment)

Payments made to unauthorized locations will result in a delay in the restoration of your services.

Once I have paid to restore my services, how long will it take before my water is turned on?
We can guarantee turn on within 24 hours of the time the amount owed for turn on was paid and communicated to customer service, if the next day is a County normal work day.  If the next day is a weekend or holiday it will be turned back on the next work day.
