The Henrico County Police Division’s Communications Unit offers a community awareness program to educate the public on their local 911 emergency communications system. The presentation is available in a brochure format or in PowerPoint.  Henrico Communications Officers are also available by appointment to give the presentation to your group or organization.

The presentation explains how 911 began, what information we require to dispatch help to those who need it, what it is like to be a Communications Officer, and we close the presentation with a question and answer session. This presentation is suitable for all ages to ensure that all of Henrico’s citizens feel knowledgeable and confident about their 911 system as well as comfortable with the Communications Officers who are working daily to help citizens in their time of need.
