Information for Landlords
Through the Virginia Rent Relief Program (RRP), Virginia Housing is administering relief for renters who are experiencing financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Landlords can apply through Virginia Housing on behalf of tenants to receive funds to pay delinquent rental payments dating as far back as April 1, 2020 and afterward. The landlord component of RRP is open to confirmed owners of Virginia rental properties (including apartments, single-family residences and manufactured housing) who have lease agreements with qualifying tenants and who agree to RRP requirements. To apply, landlords are not required to have financing through Virginia Housing or DHCD. Click the link to find out more information and to apply for The Virginia Rent Relief Program.
