Mr. Donati led the Board, staff, and public in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mrs. O’Bannon thanked the County’s Division of Recreation and Parks for delivering bottled water to Henricus Historical Park during the May 19 – 22, 2007 Godspeed visit.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Katherine W. Lawson, a resident of the Tuckahoe District, suggested that the Board make audio recordings of its meetings and develop alternate formats for its meeting minutes to accommodate persons with disabilities.  She also thanked the Board for funding public transportation for disabled residents and for providing public recycling and refuse collection programs in her community.  Mrs. Lawson asked the Board to include senior citizens and persons with severe disabilities on the County’s emergency preparedness management teams and to implement safety measures to protect pedestrians crossing Brook Road in the vicinity of Hollybrook Apartments and St. Joseph’s Villa.
