Police Captain Doug Barker emailed to thank fellow Officer Jason Stender for his response to a stranded motorist. The driver had forgotten to fuel the vehicle after leaving the hospital with a passenger and a child. Captain Barker radioed for assistance, and Stender responded with a can of gas for the family. He declined the family’s offer of reimbursement. This is an example of why the Henrico Police Division has such a great reputation, according to Barker. Way to go, Jason!
