To celebrate Independence Day, patriotic displays will be at Dorey Park and Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park July 1-5.
The annual community celebration of Independence Day, which had been scheduled to return to Dorey Park on Saturday, July 4, has attracted as many as 20,000 people for live music, a fireworks and laser light show and other entertainment. The Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks, which organizes the event, concluded it would be unable to hold the event under current health regulations and guidelines for limiting spread of the coronavirus.

The Dorey Park Farmers Market will kick off its second season Saturday, June 1, offering fresh produce and other goods for sale from local farmers and vendors.
The market, which operates in cooperation with the Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks, will open at 9 a.m. and include a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. to dedicate a new pavilion and celebrate the start of the 2019 season.
