UPDATE: Due to forecasted inclement weather on Monday, Aug. 3, the Varina Community Conversations meeting will be moved to its rain location at Sandston Elementary School, 7 Naglee Ave. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will receive a temperature check and will be required to wear a face covering to enter the meeting.
Aug. 3 meeting to be held at Chickahominy YMCA, livestreamed on YouTube
Varina District Supervisor Tyrone E. Nelson will hold a Community Conversations meeting Monday, Aug. 3 to highlight projects and topics of interest to the Sandston area.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. under a tent outside at the Chickahominy Family YMCA, 5401 Whiteside Road, and livestreamed on the Henrico County Government channel on YouTube.com. Those attending will be required to wear face coverings to limit spread of COVID-19.
Nelson will be joined by County Manager John A. Vithoulkas, who will provide a budget update. Representatives of various departments, including Community Revitalization, Planning, Recreation and Parks, Police and Public Works, as well as Henrico County Public Schools will discuss their efforts in the Sandston community.
