Guidance for April 14 Board of Supervisors public hearing and meeting

The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 on Henrico’s proposed operating and capital budgets for the 2020-21 fiscal year. The Board’s regular meeting will follow. Both will take place in the Government Center Board Room, 4301 E. Parham Road.

The public hearing and regular meeting will be livestreamed at https://henrico.us/supervisors/video-of-meetings/. Individuals will be able to participate remotely.

Both meetings are open to the public. However, in accordance with the state’s 10-person limit for gatherings, no more than 10 people will be permitted in the Board Room at a time. This total includes Board members and county staff as well as any others.

Individuals attending may be asked to remain in the lobby outside the Board Room or may be directed to another nearby area to accommodate the 10-person limit.

Individuals who would like to participate in person in the 6 p.m. public hearing or in the public comment portion of the regular meeting will be directed to a microphone in the Board Room at the appropriate time. Comments will not be given from the lectern.

To participate remotely, individuals should sign up at https://henrico.us/services/Board-of-Supervisors-Meeting-Participation-Registration/. They will then receive an email with instructions on registering for a WebEx meeting, which will enable them to provide comments by phone.

Individuals planning to participate remotely should follow the livestream of the public hearing and meeting at https://henrico.us/supervisors/video-of-meetings/. There is up to a 60-second delay between the real-time meeting and the livestream. Participants should keep the delay in mind and be prepared to speak. In addition, individuals can submit written comments by email to [email protected]. Email comments received before the public hearing will be provided to the Board of Supervisors and included in the record of the hearing.
