Henrico County will celebrate Earth Day on Monday, April 22 with a free energy fair at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 N. Laburnum Avenue.
The Spring Energy Fair will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and is open to the public. The event will provide information on energy and sustainability and will offer refreshments, giveaways of free portable power banks for the first 100 attendees and opportunities to test drive an electric car from Drive Electric RVA.
More than 20 vendors will be on hand to highlight sustainability, green building, energy efficiency, LED lighting, solar power and recycling. Tech for Troops will collect used electronics, such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops and flat screen monitors, in any condition for refurbishment and donation to veterans. Soles for Souls will collect used shoes and textiles in any condition for those in need.
