Upon completion of the requirements to receive a driver’s license, the Division of Motor Vehicles will forward the license to the Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for presentment.
The Court will then schedule a driver’s license ceremony and mail a post card invitation approximately 2 weeks prior to the ceremony. All ceremonies are held on Mondays at 5:00 PM in the Administration Board Room of Henrico County at 4301 East Parham Road. You should plan to arrive at 4:45 PM. Persons arriving late will not be admitted.
This is a Court proceeding and you are expected to attend but if you miss your first ceremony you will automatically be rescheduled for a second ceremony at a later date. If you miss a second ceremony your driver’s license will be returned to the DMV.
If you have not received an invitation and your Driver Training Certificate or your Temporary Provisional Driver’s License is about to expire first contact the DMV to assure that all paper work is in order and that a driver’s license has been sent to the Court before contacting us.
Questions can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or you may call 501- 4688 for assistance.
If you are over 18 and are waiting to receive an invitation to a ceremony please contact the Court.
