Shamrock Showdown 2023

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Deep Run! Fun for all ages & abilities.

Play games, win prizes, dance to your favorite music, and wear your best green outfit. There will be something for everyone, so bring the whole family. The winner of the Leprechaun Challenge will be announced and receive the grand prize of a Nintendo Switch Lite (must be present to win)! Information: rec-eventsteam@henrico.us

Leprechaun Challenge 2023

Enter to win a drawing for the grand prize, a Nintendo Switch Lite! To be eligible you must complete one (or both) of the challenges below prior to the Shamrock Showdown on March 17. Participate in both activities to earn a max of 2 entries into the drawing.

 2 Ways to Participate:

1. Find a leprechaun gnome in the park. Take a selfie and post it on social media with the hashtag #luckyhenrico to be added to the drawing.
2. Use the Rec & Parks app to “see” a leprechaun in the park. Be sure to check in (at 2 sites) to be added to the drawing.

 Tips: Leprechaun App Challenge

1. Download Henrico Rec & Parks App.
2. Open the Challenges tab and then the Leprechaun Challenge.
3. Visit one of the parks listed and go to the exact area of the park.
4. Click the “AR” button on the top left.
5. Hold your phone up to “see” the leprechaun!
6. Be sure to check in while at the park to be eligible to win a prize at Shamrock Showdown! (Check in at 2 sites to be added to the drawing)
