Henrico County’s Spring Earth Day and Energy Fair will be held Saturday April 24th at Deep Run Park, Armour House at Meadowview Park, and Virginia Randolph Academy. Visit one or all locations between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM for an open house style event. All locations will feature information on energy and environmental programs and resources, activities, and a grab bag of gifts.
Virginia Master Naturalists Riverine Chapter will be available at each location with information about Virginia’s natural environment and landscaping with native plants.
Drive Electric RVA will have a variety of electric vehicle models on display at Deep Run Park.
Virginia Randolph Academy and Museum marks the site of the first Arbor Day celebration in Virginia. The Academy at Virginia Randolph will be showcasing their Career and Technical Education programs including the Horticulture program, and the museum will be open for tours.
Soles4Souls will be collecting new or used clothing or shoes for donation to those in need. Tech for Troops will be also collecting used electronics, such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops and flat screen monitors in any condition, for refurbishment and donation to veterans. You can bring donations to Deep Run Recreation Center or Eastern Henrico Recreation Center from Monday April 19th to Saturday April 24th. Clothing and shoe donations must be secured in tied plastic bags (clothing in a separate bag from shoes).
