Henrico County will host an Earth Day and Energy Fair on Friday April 24th from 3-6 PM at the new Fairfield Area Library. The fair will bring energy and sustainability information to the residents, employees, and business owners of Henrico and the surrounding areas. The spring 2020 event will be co-hosted by Henrico Libraries, Henrico Energy Management, Henrico Recreation and Parks, and Keep Henrico Beautiful.
The fair will feature vendors that will spotlight efforts promoting sustainability, green building and energy efficiency, including the use of LED lighting, solar power, green building, recycling, and electric vehicles. Music, activities, and refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
Soles 4 Soles will be at the fair collecting new or gently worn clothing and shoes for reuse by communities in need.
Participating vendors include: Capital Electric, Capital Region Land Conservancy, Creative Conservation, Dominion Energy, Dorey Park Farmer’s Market, Henrico Department of Public Works, Henricopolis Soil and Water Conservation District, Moseley Architects, Quinn Evans Architects, Richmond Gas Works, Richmond Region Energy Alliance, Richmond Window, Sun Tribe Solar, Think Little, VA Cooperative Extension, VA Department of Environmental Quality, and VA Energy Sense.
