Creighton Road
From: Laburnum Road
To: Nine Mile Road

Project Description
The Department of Public Works is in the design phase of road improvements to Creighton Road as part of the 2000 bond referendum. This project consists of roadway improvements, intersection improvements at Creighton Road and Laburnum Avenue, water main and sanitary sewer installation. Creighton Road will be realigned to straighten the roadway and widened to four lanes divided by a median from Laburnum Avenue to the City of Richmond.  Currently, the project design is expected to be 70% complete in October 2008. Spring 2009 is the anticipated time frame for public presentation of the design.

Project Benefits
Creighton Road has been identified for improvements to take this once rural road to an urban design.  The road alignment will be adjusted to minimize the curves and to provide improved turning movements.  Also the one lane bridge will be widened to accommodate two lanes of traffic in both directions.
