The Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA) is an Federal Act that provides information, resources, recommendations, and funding to aid in the protection of inmates, employees, contractors, and volunteers from sexual assaults within correctional facilities.
The Henrico County Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and offenders. Henrico Sheriff’s Office has a zero tolerance for sexual misconduct of any kind and will impose discipline for such misconduct.
