The Civil Process Section of The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for executing orders of the courts.  Deputies deliver and execute civil papers and civil process documents.  

Examples of such documents include:

  • Summonses, complaints and subpoenas
  • Writs of possession for real estate
  • Injunctions for protection against domestic violence
  • Writs of garnishment
  • Arrest orders/writs of bodily attachment

Fees

The fee for a civil document is $12.00 for an in-state paper, per service.  The fee for a civil document from an out-of-state court is $75.00, per service. 

Certain documents may require a bond for service processing.

How to Receive this Service

Please mail two copies of the document to be served, a check or money order for the service fee, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a copy of the returned document to:
