Mr. Glover led
the Board, staff, and public in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chaplain Harold
L. Dimmitt, Henrico County Jail, provided the invocation.
The
Board approved the minutes of the November 14, 2006 Regular
and Special Meetings.
BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS’ COMMENTS
Mr. Kaechele recognized John G. Dankos,
Sr. for 14 years of service on the Capital Region Airport Commission as a Henrico County representative and pointed out
that Mr. Dankos had been a real asset to the
Commission. Mr. Dankos
resigned from the Commission in January 2006.
Mr. Kaechele announced that although he had
planned to present a plaque to Mr. Dankos at this
meeting expressing the Commission’s appreciation, Mr. Dankos
was unable to attend because of health concerns. Mr. Donati noted that
he and Mr. Dankos began serving on the Commission at
the same time and that Mr. Dankos did a great job as
a Commissioner.
Mr. Glover recognized
Patrick McKercher and Logan Webb from Boy Scout Troop
799, sponsored by Trinity
United Methodist
Church, who were observing the meeting.
He also recognized the following Boy Scouts from Troop 736, sponsored by
St. Michael’s Catholic Church, who were observing the meeting to fulfill a
requirement for the Communications Merit Badge:
Mark Davis, Brian Lynch, Alex Prestia, Theo Prestia, Andrew Schwieder, and
William Schwieder.
Mr. Glover recognized
Richard Booker and Patrick Manders, University of Richmond
Political Science students who were on assignment
from their National Research Methods class.
