The invocation was given by Rabbi Richard Smith, Chaplain, Beth Sholom, A Life Care Community.

 

The minutes of the May 23, 2006 Regular and Special Meetings were approved.

 

MANAGER’S COMMENTS

Mr. Hazelett announced that Mrs. O’Bannon was attending commencement exercises for Douglas S. Freeman High School. 

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS’ COMMENTS

Mr. Glover recognized Alex Brown from Boy Scout Troop 418, sponsored by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, who was observing the meeting to fulfill a requirement for the Communications Merit Badge. 

 

RECOGNITION OF NEWS MEDIA

Mr. Glover recognized Olympia Meola and Jeff Kelley of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Tom Lappas of the Henrico Citizen, and Tara Morgan and Jamie Rife of WWBT-TV 12.

Nicole Johnson, a resident of the Fairfield District, presented concerns regarding Wilton Development Corporation’s construction of an asphalted walkway within a common area adjacent to her home in Clarendon Woods. Her fiancé, Kevin Jarrell, and two of her neighbors, Rosa Snead and Melanie Holden, also addressed the Board on this matter.
