The Henrico County office of the Virginia Cooperative Extension will conduct a free workshop Saturday, April 5 to help residents start or improve their vegetable gardens.
The Vegetable Gardening Jumpstart Workshop, which is part of the 2014 Gardens Growing Families program, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the demonstration kitchen of the Human Services Building, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive.
The deadline to register is Friday, April 4. The workshop will provide residents with tips on starting or improving their vegetable gardens, expanding their food tastes and preparing foods.
